My name is Lauren Hitt. I grew up in Hurley, graduating from East Central High School. My husband, Jason and I have been married and living in Vancleave since 2011.  We have three boys, Blaine (11), Brady (7), and Baylor (4) who love to play baseball, basketball, and football. I started playing baseball at the age of 4 with the boys because softball didn’t start until age 5. I played basketball, fast pitch and slow pitch at East Central where I was fortunate enough to celebrate three back-to-back-to-back High School State Championships with our fast pitch team followed by two years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. I am honored to serve a three year position as Vancleave Youth Baseball Treasurer. I am a firm believer in teaching fundamentals in youth sports. If you teach the basics, the wins will follow. Although I didn’t not grow up in Vancleave, I am proud to be a part of this community where I am also Secretary of the Vancleave Lower Elementary PTO and President of the Vancleave Youth Basketball League.
